Dear Bobby,

It's been a great run, really it has. I've enjoyed every hour of it. I was able to overlook your partner and her snide little remarks. I'm even over how half the time I expect to see you, another guy shows up in your place. I'll never forget you...your mysterious detective skills, your diamond-drill precision in interrogation, and your dedication to your mother during her difficult times.

But there's someone else now, Bobby. I don't think you know him...he's a doctor at Princeton. I'm sure you've wondered why I've been spending so much time in New Jersey.

Oh, Bobby, I know he's totally wrong for me, but I can't help it. I've always been co-dependent, and this man really needs me. He has a Vicodin habit that's gotten him into trouble, but he's working it out. It doesn't interfere with his job, but everyone's in his face about it. The man is truly in pain. But when I look into his steely blue eyes, I know there's a man in there I can love.

Of course I still have feelings for you, Bobby. I'll still check in with the major case squad now and then to see what you're up to. But Gregory is exciting and beautiful and fascinating. Please forgive me.

Love Always.

PS: You know my mom always wanted me to end up with a doctor.
